A good price/ performance/ Storage Hard drive?

I have not heard anything really about which brand makes the best hard drives, or even any good hard drive recomendations. so i was wondering, i nead alot of storage to keep movies, cd images, games, ect.... and so i decided i need a 250GB hard drive; or at least 240GB of total storage. so is a Hitachi 250GB SATA drive with an 8MB buffer a good drive?

the Hitachi is apparently a good drive.
next brand I would recommend would be Seagate (my personal fav)

only brand to stay away from: Maxtor... they fail more than they work in my experience.
