A good motherboard + cpu combo

Whats a good mobo+cpu combo for around 300$? I prefer AMD but if an intel combo is better and faster i will consider. I play CS:S competitively and need a combo

Get any Intel P35 motherboard and an E6420 CPU

Go to new egg and search for P35 (latest Intel chipset)

The top of the line Abit P35 Pro is only $180 (best choice) and an E6420 should cost you $180 or so.

I would check newegg, if you don't live near a Fry's electronics. They had a biostar 945g board with the e4300 retail boxed for only $187 as a combo special.
