a good low calorie snack

I'm trying to knock some calories out of my everyday diet. I weigh 194 and I'm trying to get down to about 170 since I'm 5'10" w/ a thick build. Anyway, I mixed up a small can of sliced mushrooms and a small can of green beans... splashed some worcestershire on top and nuked for 1 minute and it was a tasty snack with around 100 calories. A tall glass of water with it filled me up for about 3-4 hours. I think I'm going to include things like this once a day or so. If any of you have suggestions for unusual low cal snacks that don't taste like ass, please feel free to share.

get some small shrimp and a tomato, core out the tomato and stick in the shrimp, maybe add some salsa for flavor.

good stuff..

Sounds tasty, may have to try this one. Of course it's not quite as cheap.

1) 8-12 ozs of skim or low-fat milk
2) 1 to 1 1/2 scoops of vanilla whey protein
3) 1 medium sized banana

Blend and enjoy..

Or.. substitute banana with fresh strawberries, or use both..

The fruit makes it really filling, even though its just a drink. It tastes pretty damn good too.

I love the banana/strawberry/protein shakes. It's been a while since I've done that... I need to get a blender and some vanilla whey.

Keep the ideas coming!

Just take whatever you eat and track it on Fitday Do this consistently and you can take all the guesswork out of it by knowing exactly how much you are eating each day.

Pickles. Tasty and essentially calorie-free as you burn the entire content just by eating them. Salads are great too. With a decent low cal dressing or just a little light oil and vinegar you can fill up for about 100 calories total.

To be honest though, when I'm trying to drop a few pounds, a few local snacks like that are the only sacrifices I'll make, I just love food too much. So I substitute a pickle for a bag of chips here and there and mostly just exercise like crazy. I'd rather sweat than give up good meals.
