Another vote for WinRar... creates Zip and Rar archives, it's very reliable and simple... it's free (no shareware), and has a lot of features.

[LINK DELETED] gives away free serial numbers to any Zip program you can think of. ;)

We absolutely will not tolerate links to warez sites.

Free = as in "no questions asked, no pop-ups telling you to register", I suppose. I like WinRAR, too.

Winzip isn't free.

Most of the Zip programs are shareware. Pkware does have a freeware version of pkunzip for DOS though. :D

A free awesome zip program has to be Aladdin Expander. The difference with this program compared to the "popular" Winzip is that no additional programs need to be open in order to "extract" its a simple file, you double click it to open and it gets extracted like that without the program actually running, selecting the destination, and then hitting some extract button. Aladdin Expander is a simple as opening any other file.

you can get it here: Aladdin Stuffit (there are two versions, i couldn't find Aladdin Expander but the link will take you to Aladdin Stuffit. Its slightly different. If you can get expander, use that one better.)

danny~!

Winrar is by far my favorite. So much less hassle than anything else I have tried.
