A good card for 17" LCD

I ruined a Geforce2 Mx by trying to do the filter mod and need a good card to run a Samsung 171b LCD. I have a Radeon VE SDR running it right now and it is slightly blurry which gives me a headache.

Any suggestions? Comments? Experiences?

The card I ruined was in my bosses computer. I need help fast. If I loose my job, I go hungry and join some group that may take a ride on the next asteroid passing by.

it seems there is no DVI on the LCD. I would recommend Matrox G400/G450 which has sharp 2D pictures.

Correct, the LCD is VGA. I checked out the Matrox cards and noticed that G550 has a DVI/VGA converter? I only saw the picture, so am not sure. I've heard that the G400/450 have sharp 2D on "regular" monitors, just wanted to check if that was true for LCD as well.
