A glitch in Amazon.com's database?

Prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday, I ordered several books from Amazon. They split it into two shipments, they were both originally estimated to arrive on 23 Nov. 1 of them arrived on 22 Nov, the second arrived on 23 Nov. Then, I got an email from Amazon telling me that my order was delayed, despite the fact that the complete order sitting on my table. As of this morning, 28 Nov, Amazon.com's account information still lists the order as delayed. In fact, a complete different order I placed last night, 27 Nov, has already posted a UPS tracking number.

Think they have a glitch in their database? Should I sent them an email? Or maybe they might ship me a second set?

I wouldn't worry about it. You got what you ordered already. If they do somehow send you a second set, you should send it back and contact Amazon about it then.

Yeesh, I wouldn't keep a second set. 😛

Its just something to take note of because this is the first time I've ever had problems with Amazon and I've done business with them since they first opened their site.

It's most likely a glitch. If the order went through a dropshipper it could've happened that the dropshipper sent the order but failed to send notification back to amazon. If that happened, amazon still thinks the order is open and hence the delay notification. Doubt you'll get a second set out of this though, since most likely somebody would look at that order (seeing as it's way overdue), realize it's already shipped and close it.
