hope you're ok to have fun in HI... pm me if you're a surfer, there's some really nice hide-away spots this time of year 😉
Edit: or sailing... La Perouse Bay (sp?) was tres serene last time I was there (ok, ten years)... you just gotta hit it on the season 🙂 Anywhoo... I've sailed from Pearl Harbor to the Big Isle and back (in my own boat), with many stops inbetween. I'd be happy to email my experiences with various ports if you're considering a sailing trip. The only thing I can't do is comment on a trip to Kuaui, cause that's at least a 2 day sail, and I was never really comfortable with hitting an Island with that much mathetical smallness... OK, this was before GPS, I didn't have a RDF, and I had a time limit of 1 week (whoever said the military was great for vacation-time lied)
Anyways, like I said, pm me 🙂
There is, however, the MOST incredible helicopter ride on Kuaui... takes you to the wettest part of the world... a deep dark chasm that's incredible to see.
And yes, I loved being in Hawaii! 😀
