there was this secretary at the first job i worked at

not bad looking, but her perfume was INCREDIBLE

seriously, i dont know what the stuff was, but it but me in an absolute trance any time i was within 20 feet of her

unfortunately i never found out what kind it was, but i think i have smelled it a couple times randomly since working there

someday i hope to get a chance to go back into the lobby of that company, just to smell the perfume one last time

Sounds like she wanted more than her computer worked on. Maybe the perfume you were smelling was "wet vagina and pheromones"

was definitely the case when I worked fast food back in the late 90's... definitely sexism.

the male managers felt bad giving the female workers the "grunt work" like slinging burgers, cleaning out the grease traps, taking out the trash, etc.
