:D
Just wanted to give a Thank You out to the Veterans who were responsible for the liberties and freedoms I enjoy on an every day basis.
Sometimes, when something is always in "your face", it becomes easy to take things as "normal" without ever thinking of why, or how it came about.
I have never served in the armed forces, but I do think of how many lives were lost, and the sacrificies made of those who did serve. They gave up their families, if only for a year or two, or sometimes more. They gave up their limbs, at a cost that cannot be replaced. The families gave up their sons, and daughters for a cause maybe not their own to believe, but the act of preserving freedom, At All Costs,.... was not something to be quibbled over.
I haven't seen a thread thanking the veterans here at all this weekend, and felt there should be a spot where those who did serve, could see that their commitment to the U.S.A., and those who will follow in the right to live in a free society, was duly noted, and admired.
THANK YOU to all those who give me a place to type / say what I want, in an enviroment where all voices can be heard, and disagreed with, if there is a reasonable thought to do so, without being persecuted and jailed because their beliefs may differ from the next.
God Bless . . .
