Is a Mac Mini strong enough to run Pro Tools?

I'm just curious before I even look at purchasing one for simple recording.

Thanks.

I work with Macs at work and record music at home on a PC.

My opinion would be that it would work, but definitely would not be optimal. Assuming that you are only running the ProTools software, and you're just working with a few tracks, it probably won't be a problem, but if you're arranging and recording full bands, then I would suggest getting a Dual G5.

If you are looking to buying ProTools' hardware, you'll need a tower.

Hm..I have a PC setup at home, but thought the mini would offer me a little bit of portability incase I wanted to sample some things live from it.

Is iGarage decent for basic recording? Enough to get basic demo recording done before going in a studio?
