A game for the SO and me

My SO and I have just finished playing through Eternal Sonata. The game wasn't spectacular, but playing cooperatively in the battles was really enjoyable.

Now, I'm looking for a new co-op game to play together. She doesn't like shooters, so GoW and such are out of the picture. Also, I don't like any sports games. We already have Rockband, Littlebigplanet, and the Pixeljunk games.

I've heard that Viva Pinata 2 has fun multiplayer. Can anyone confirm this or recommend any other games that we might enjoy? Don't worry about the system; I have all three consoles. :)

Tl;dr - recommend me some good local multiplayer games to play with the SO.

Thanks.

Can't beat lego games for easy, enjoyable co-op. I personally really enjoy marvel: ultimate alliance for its co-op and know some girls that like it, but that might not be true for all girls.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've thought about the new Lego games. We've already played through the entire Lego Star Wars game, and I'm dubious about the quality and amount of content of the new Lego games (Batman and Indiana Jones) vs that of Lego Star Wars.

As far as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, neither of us really like comic book superheroes, but I'll look into it.

We've already beaten that a few times.

but it's hard

Interesting. I have Ikaruga, but I didn't know it had co-op. Maybe we'll try that.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. They are great co-op games; we have just played too many already >.>

Left 4 Dead, very fun and very easy to pick up and play, difficulty settings are great

Schizoid is a pretty fun game, co-op is REQUIRED for that game. It gets pretty hard eventually though. The demo is very good and complete though, and gives you a good sense of just what to expect from the game, including the harder levels.

Geometry Wars 2 has fun co-op, as does Assault Heroes 1 & 2.

Not sure other than that. I'm actually looking for something similar for me and my friends.

Thanks for the really good reply. I'll check out those games when I have the chance.

Well I followed you suggestion, and got Schizoid after playing the demo. The SO and I ended up playing for 2 or 3 hours today. The game is really fun so far. I like how they make you think of continuously different ways to tackle the level together.

I also downloaded demos for Viva Pinata, Assault Heroes, and Geometry Wars, so I guess we'll try those after we finish Schizoid (which, hopefully, will take some time).

I would try, but she hates first person shooters. I think it was because she was never introduced to them until I came around.
