Just washed my thumb drive and a memory card, think they'll still work if I let them air out a day or two?

Thumb drive should survive. Not sure about the memory card, some are pretty flimsy,

ive washed my thumb drive (memorex) and it came out just fine after letting it dry off real well.

I agree. LAst weekend I had a pen in my pocet and washed it with a bunch of other stuff. The pen came out in the dryer and got stuck in one of the vent holes in the back. So every time the clothes passed the pen, they got a nice pen swipe on them. My clothes looked like a 6 year old kid drew on them . Oh well, I needed new pants anyway.

Well I almost dried them. I heard something banging around after a turned it on so they were probably in there about 30secs-1min. The mem card is a Kingmax Platinum SD and it looks to be completely sealed so I don't think any water got in. The TD on the other hand was soaked.

That sucks. I have had ALL KINDS OF THINGS go through the laundry...crayons. pens, markers, gum, candy, money...

I TRY to check my kids' pockets...but I have missed stuff in the past.

P.S. My favorite is facial tissue. *Sigh*

I'd say both will survive if you let them dry.

I've heard of CF cards surviving a laundering. Be sure to let them dry out very thoroughly - including the memory card.

i always check 'em ever since i left a tube of red lipstick in a pocket. ruined a lot of clothes

i've sent my thumb drive through the washer and dryer at least 3x now. heh. once, i hadn't notice it broke off my keychain, the other two times i left it in my cargo pockets of my shorts.. i dunno why it was in there, I usually only use it for my wallet. still works btw.
