I need to print large stuff on paper, and it's cheaper to do this in a local copy centre than on my Pc and printer, but they want to have it on PDF, now when I search for a PDF printer I encounter lots of commercial stuff with all bells and whistles etc... but I just want some simple printer thinngie that saves the pages. so does anyone know of a program that does just that ?

thanks in advance.

not trying to sway ya if you need the features, but CutePDF only took two installers (printer/writer and GNU converter) and has no annoying watermarks like WinPDF

I like PDFcreator. It's Open Source also.

It even works on CAD drawings which is very nice. The Adobe Acrobat distiller just crashes.

pdfcreator is the best in the sense because it's GPL as Thera points out. Remember winpdf you are not allowed to use it at work or dish it out to your co-workers "Freeware for personal use only". Same license as lavasoft ad-ware.
