A Free IRC Client - Recommendations Pls.

Title says it all, I see a whole bunch of them when I google, most look like a 3 yr old designed the UI.
ANy recommendations? (didn't see any in the free software thread....)

This is 'the' freeware chat client for windows and linux. It is much better than mirc or any of the others. . .

irssi. mIRC is ass, BitchX is ok, IamC is the only native Win32 client I found worth while. But irssi is the only one I consider these days.

Have you tried the silverx build of xchat?
