A ? for Russ about Enermax PS

I was wondering if the EG-351-VE PS you sell is a "FM" or "FC" model? I ordered one from you and can't figure out what model it is. Thanks in advance.

I'll add a second question: Russ, which is quieter, your Enermax 350's or the Antec 300W? I will be upgrading my sister's old AT-based system and I want to get her a really quiet rig. BTW, seems like you are out of Antec 300's right now?

It's the FC model.

In my experience, the Enermax and the Antec are about the same noise-wise. But, I've had some customers who think the Enermax is quieter, others who think the Antec is quieter. The Enermax is quieter than any unit on the market that is it's equal in power and efficiency (which the Antec is not).

Thanks Russ! I thought it was, but I can't find the external thermistor?! It must be wraped in the power cable? Also the fan monitor does not work or does not read. BTW top notch service! I ordered Friday morning and received it Monday afternoon!

Because of the dual fan design in the Enermax, the fans start at an RPM speed that many motherboards cannot read because it is below the BIOS threshold. I wasn't aware of a thermistor. I thought the difference between the two was that the FC has three power cables, and the FM only two.

The FC does have three power cables. Thats why I thought I had the FC model. The picture on the spec sheet said their is a thermistor coming out of the power supply. However I didn't see one. I'm going to take out the PS tonight to get a closer look to see if I can find one. Thanks
