my plan for when there a serius fire where i live.
1) call fire dept.
2)if it looks like it will help use a fire extinguisher
3)if fire extinguisher helped i'd use another and then another, theres 3 2.5 LN dry chemical in the house.
4) if in the time it takes to use 3 extinguishers its still not under control i start throwing things out the window until the smoke gets bad. then out the window i go.

In true ATOT fashion, I would create the post "My house is on fire, what should I do?".

Yah, I'd probably die waiting for a real response, so what to bring doesn't really matter.

They're actually quite large, and made of brass.

assuming im already fully clothed...probably gun, badge, wallet. That way, I can hunt down the MF that set my house on fire, arrest him/shoot him.

if 3 fire extinguishers dont work, you wont have much time before you die to smoke inhalation.

Turnout gear so I can put it on and go back in to get whatever else I want without any risk of burning/suffocating.

I think it would look way sweeter if you waited until the garage door was burning, then revved it up and jumped it through the closed garage door. Any hot chicks who happened to be around watching the fire would immediately offer to let you sleep in their beds until your house is fixed. That's definitely what I would do with my Magna... :)

my thick document file: has my passport, all college & school certificates, motorcycle registration papers (original), birth certificate, bank passbook and every legal document imaginable. I lose that, it will be a headache to try and get replacements for them.

Grab my phone, wallet and keys - I am good to go.

Computer loss wouldn't be that big a deal coz all the stuff that matters, I have it backed up online (personal docs and pics) or dumped on my friends' hard drives (pr0n, music, video).
