A fifth of liquor is a 4/5 of a quart, or 1/5 of a gallon? 750ml right?

? Someone said it was 1/5 of a liter, but I looked it up and it seems to be 750 ml. Is it commonly accepted to be 750ml?

1/5 of a gallon, which is very close to 750ml, which they switched to when they went metric.

In Greenville, SC. Yeah, I was amazed, too. I am used to 45 or 50 bucks for my favorite booze. It's a store called Total Wine and More.
