I want to upgrade my computer, and build a second one with parts i have laying around.

I currently have 2Gigs of pc 3200 in 4x512 setup. If I get 2X1Gig and install those, so that i have 2x512, and 2x1Gig, would that work, or would I have problems with that?

I also have a westinghouse 37" tv i use for my monitor, so my max resolution is 1920x1080, and I think an 8800gts with the 320RAM would be able to handle my monitors max resolution, anyone know how well that will work?

So, the basics.
Current rig
Athlon 64 X2 4800 (939)
EVGA 6600gt
4x512 pc 3200

Along with an athlon 64 3500 (939) laying around with a few hard drives.

And finally, I am also trying to be as cheap as possible.

Adding 2x1gigs for a total of 3gigs should be fine (just try to get memory that matches timings with your 512chips and know that its not guaranteed to work, though it should). The 8800gts with 320 will be ok for any current games at 1900x1080 but you are probably better off with spending the $50 or so extra for the 640 as 1900x1080 is borderline between the two and the extra memory will make a difference later in the year with games like Crysis, Alan Wake, Ut2007...
