A few technical questions about RAM and Drivers

I have an Abit NF7-Sv2 that I am running with a single stick of Kingston 512
(KVR400X64C3A if that helps). I also just put in an AMD Athlon XP 2800+.

During boot I keep seeing DDR333. But both the RAM and the mobo indicate
that I should be seeing DDR400. How do I obtain DDR400? Is it an
over clocking issue? Are there parameters in the BIOS I need to change??

Also I have a bunch of Memory lying around my office from rebuilds. I was
wondering if I can use them in any configuration. Example One 256 stick
with two 128 sticks. Somewhere I believe I heard that you have to use
all the same size?
My 6 year old niece is getting all the spare parts for her first computer this christmas.

Also I had originally installed the driver for the on-board audio for the NF7;
but now I have a new sound card that I want to use to free up the mobo
and see if that gives me better performance. The installation of the new
sound card didn't go well because something was conflicting.
How do I uninstall the on-board audio. My first thought was to uninstall everything
with a little speaker next to it, but that seemed unwise. I looked though
the mobo manual but it gives me no clue as to what the sound devices are called.

And friendly smart folk out there?

Heres one for you:

I just built a computer for my gf's brother w/ the same mobo that u have. It kept reading the ram and the cpu aat 133 when it was supposed to be 166. If i set it to 200fsb it wouldnt boot. 166 wouldnt get far w/o powering off for some odd reason and giving the the 2-tone alarm. So what i did was set it to expert settings. For some reason now i can get it to 190 fsb (default is 166 FYI) and its 100% stable. Ive ran about 3 seperate sessions w/ 12+ hrs of prime95 torture blend test each time to make sure its stable. ITs also been running for over a week now with doing whatever i make it run, including multiple tests of 3dmark as well as various gaming sessions and web browsing. So I assume the bios has some trouble with maintaining its own detect settings. I figured it was just the perticular mobo that i had but it seems like this may also apply to your case.

Basically, to sum things up, dont worry about what it detects it at. Just set it to "Expert" and manually set the fsb for 400 on both the ram and cpu. (that is if your cpu is the 400fsb version and not the 333fsb)
