A Few Target B&M Deals - 3-8 A Couple New Items Added

Today the 2pks of Rayovac rechargeable nimh batteries went 75% off to 1.64. If you can find any of the $1 off coupons, you'll get a pretty good deal. The Target on Bellflower and Stearns in Long Beach (near compusa) still has over 20 packs left. Check the reg battery area (pks are unmarked) and the 2nd shelf of the clearance endcap (they're hanging up in the back).

Philips cd boombox 29.94. Look for model #'s 3141, 3142 or 3143. Don't expect these to go 75% off. Prior to Halloween, one of the stores near me marked 1 color down and it never went below 50%. Someone finally bought it last week.

Panasonic Ultra Thin cd walkman 50% off. I think the original price was $90. This is what it looks like

Aiwa cd walkman (50%). I think the original price was either $70 or $80.

Sandisk 16mb sm cards 4.64 (75%). I didn't notice if the 16mb cf cards went 75% off today. Only 1 of the stores near me had 1 and it was marked at 13.94 and scanned the same.

MS Intellimouse Explorer 32.94 or 34.94 (can't remember). I'm sure someone can find a $10 rebate for this somewhere.

I didn't check the phones but I know the 2.4 Gh phone and extra handsets (Sony?) that people were buying at 50% went 75% off last week. Some stores still have the extra handsets but I havent' noticed the base station.

Some of the stores started marking domestics area (sheets, blankets, etc) down a day early. If your store didn't it will get done tomorrow. There's gonna be alot of stuff 75% off. Get there early if you need any of this because the employees will be all over it, not to mention customers that have been waiting for this stuff to drop.

Forgot to mention, I saw quite a few Gameboy games marked down. Now I didn't look at them closely, the only reason I noticed them is because they were in my way when I was going through the endcap.

Black & Decker 2.4vt rechargeable screwdriver 3.54 (75% off). IMO these aren't really good for anything since you can't change the batter once it stops holding a charge but some people may like them. Look for the ones that are in the clear plastic shell NOT the box (those are the new ones). Both the teal and red colored screwdrivers are clearance.

Black & Decker 67pc Home Workshop Kit 6.24 (75% off). The workshop kit has a multi position screwdriver/rachet, 18 drillbits, 3 hex shank drill bits, 5 slotted bits, 5 square recess bits, 4 torques bits, 4 bits for Pozidriv screws (???), 7 nut drivers, 5 metric sockets, 5 SAE sockets, 1 socket adapter, 1 magnetic bit holder and a 6" steel ruler. It's in the same type of black carrying case as the drills. Pretty nice little kit and works great with the drills we bought 🙂
 
If you can get a hold of the microfleece blankets, they're really nice. I found a king size one on clearance for $25, I bet they'll get lower at a few stores.
 
to answer somebody's post, a lot of stuff gets cleared out before 75% sometimes. the stores here are out of them also. some stuff gets left and is still hot enuff to avoid the threadcraccers, or @ least ATTEMPT to shut them up 🙂

I'm telling you now, there's gonna be alot of stuff marked 75% off tomorrow in domestics. Check the sheets, comforters, bed-in-a-bag, blankets, furniture covers, towels, rugs, bath items (rugs, lid covers, garbage cans, toothbrush holders, etc), kitchen items (towels, potholders, etc), curtains, shower curtains, mini blinds, chair pads, etc. Pretty much the whole area has markdowns.
 
hell yeah, time for a new CD player! My CD walkman is from 1995, has 4 second anti-shock and only lasts 3.5 hours on 2 AA batteries. I bought it then for about $180! Ha! Time to upgrade!

Went there today to check on some of these. Left my cart a few feet away while I went to look @ something. Came back and it had vanished. :Q

The king size microfleece was almost $30 in Dallas, TX. I even scanned it
to make sure it wasn't lower than marked. Guess the $12.50 is regional.

What's the deal with the endcaps? Where are they? In a special clearance area or somewhere near the battery section/electronics section? I looked around the area but I couldn't find any place with a bunch of random clearance items. On both ends of the battery aisle there were just 4 packs of Duracells. No clearance stuff 🙁.
 
leonc, if you went in too early the markdown team may not have been done marking the items. Some stores didn't finish marking everything so they'll finish tomorrow. The king microfleece throws are 12.44 or 14.44 around me so just keep checking. I was surprised to see how many were still there.

I didn't need any of the stuff but I did pick up 3 bed-in-a-bags for a friend for 14.94 ea. If anyones interested in this item it's the Chatroom brand and the patterns are Blue Python and Purple Zebra prints. I believe there may be 1 other pattern on clearance but I can't recall what it is. In my area the Tie Dye, Aloha, and Cheetah aren't on clearance at all.

I did buy 2 more packs of batteries because I found 2 more coupons in my purse. After coupons and tax I paid .41. The Long Beach store still has about 12 packs left.

cmv, the end caps are located at the end of the display shelves in each dept. You just have to walk around and look for them. Most Targets use them to dump clearance merchandise on. Some stores will just leave the items where they would normally be stocked. Just walk up and down every aisle and I'm sure you run into a clearance endcap, then you'll know what we mean.

tung, the cd players will be either locked in a case or under the counter. They don't put the more expensive ones out with the others. If you don't see it, ask one of the employees to check under the counter or in lock up. Ya, I know it may be a waste of time to try to get them to do anything but once in awhile you get lucky and find an employee that actually knows what they're doing.
 
mrs. cmv, the clearance aisles are usually away from the MAIN aisles
and most batteries (if they haven't been cleared out) will be inside the shelves with the others. if they do not have the red and white tags, just get a handful of different ones(nimhs) and take them to the scanner

unclebud: actually I'm a Mr. but hey 🙂. Thanks for the info. I found the AAA Rayovac batteries last time around when they were still $3.xx (got two packs). I really wanted the AAs but none left. I'm going to go check again though in case I missed something (plus the 16mb SM sounds good).

So there is a clearance aisle for each major section of the store (electronics, etc)? I don't shop B&M very much...

BTW: for others looking for AA Rayovac HiMH go to Microcenter (if you have one) - they have them for $21.99 per 8 pack. Couple bucks less than two 4 packs from Walmart ($11.97 four pack if I remember correctly). Sure doesn't beat Target clearance prices though 🙁.

Yeah, I realized it was only the 2 packs after my first attempt. This time I looked all over the store but no 2 packs of AAs 🙁. I brought 2 4 packs at Walmart and my digicam came with 4 so I'm set for a while 🙂. Would have been awesome to pick up a ton cheap.

Odd thing is that the double packs of AAA are still $3.64 here (Chicago - Elston location). I couldn't find any SanDisk 16mb Smartmedia cards either... Guess I have to keep waiting for my Newegg order!

edit: Oh yeah - I did end up taking all the different Rayovac NiMH to the scanner last time. I checked the AAAs with the scanner again this time and still got the price mentioned above ($3.64).

The microfiber blankets for $7.44 made the trip worth it. I don't know if these are the same ones you guys are finding for $12.50 - they are green Glacier Ridge "Microfleece" Twin-Size Blanket (item #0522). Great for camping! They still have 2 left...
 
Did anyone find a Target that had 16mb Smartmedia for $4.64? I'm wondering if I should still look around on my travels in the hopes of finding some...
