Ok so it should be...

100MB /boot (in first 8GB of HHD)
3GB for everything else Linux
Swap partition of 1280MB (512*2.5=1280)

Is that correct? Should I be fine with that?

I'll be learning it for the use of programming in Linux. I have a 20GB HHD and only 5GB is being used at the moment, total.
