A few questions..

Alright, recently I was asked by a relative of mine to upgrade his system. Without hesitating, I figured I'd buy a 2500+ with a DFI NF2 mobo. I got to thinking a little bit though, and I know I've read a lot of people saying "Just buy it now, if you wait there will be something even better", but will the release of the A64 drop down prices of socket-a chips and motherboards?

Also, does the DFI NF2 (non-ultra) support Dual Channel memory?

ONE more thing.. those of you that use Dual Channel memory, do you see a real life performance gain in using it, and does affect overclocking the CPU?

man.. thats a lot of questions, sorry fellas. I know you guys know the answers though.

just a comment:

Barton 2500+ = $93 + shipping @ newegg...how much lower can it go? !

The lowest i can forsee is $70?

i dont think they will go as low as $70. maybe mid 80's cuz we all know when pricecuts occur, the high end stuff obviously gets cut more than the lower end.

also, there is almost no difference at all with dual channel on the nforce2 platform. it is more so taken advantage of with 865/875 chipsets
