A few questions about the type of card I should get.

Ok, here is my thing. I am putting togeather a computer and still have to get a video card. I have spent the last few days looking up what types are out there to get and now I am hoplessly lost.

I was looking at the Radion 64 VIVO because it seems to have alot of the things that I would use. The only thing is, I have read alot of posts about how it has problems with capturing data. I want to be able to make VCD's of anime and home movies. I would also like to be able to record off of my TV/VCR.

I would also be using the card to play games online. I am not much of a gamer right now, but I was watching my brother play a few flight sims, and Ever Quest and I think I might really enjoy these games. All of the comparisons that i have seen have the Radion ranking almost last in gameing video. Seeing this, I am now thinking about getting a Geforce card, and a seperate card for the vidoe stuff that I would like to do. If I got this route what would I need?

Is this what I should do? If I get a Geforce2 card I am looking at either a Pro, or a GTS card. I would like to have a good graphics card as I am trying to put togeather a computer that will let me do just about anything that I need.

On a side note, I have a IBM P200 monitor that has some wacky connector, it is a 13W3 and that would not hook up to a standard video plug. I got a adaptor, but for some reason it still will not work. I hooked it up to my brothers computer, but nothing happens. I ran the test feature on the monitor, and it worked so I am guessing it is not a problem with my monitor. Any Ideas?

I have a Radeon and a GeForce256. Both are great cards. The only thing nVidia seems to have going against it with it's current crop of cards is poor image quality. Comparing the two on my monitor the GeForce looks washed out and fuzzy compared to the Radeon. My old TNT2 had the same problem.

Can't say much about the video capture on the Radeon. I don't use it. The TV out is top notch, looks great for videos and games on the TV.
