A few questions about the Game Boy Advance

My son wants one but I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the screen.He has a regular GBC & several games & he loves it.

Heres my questions:

1-People complain about the screen,is it better or worse than the GBC?

2-I know the older games work in it but do they look any better on the Adavnce?

3-Does the power adapter for the GBC work on the advance?

1) the screen is better than GBC, but some people complain about the games being on the dark side.

2)The games from GBC appear darker on the GBA so it depends if that really bothers you.

3)I don't think the power adapter works. As with all systems you always need a new one, but don't quote me on that one (heh).

The GBA is really good and worth getting. Nintendo is releasing a light to add on to the GBA in N.America soon (it's already released in Japan) so that will get rid of the dark game appearances.

Thanks jagr10,people keep saying "I wished the GBA screen was backlit" is the GBC screen backlit?

I guess what I'm trying to find out is that if my son liked the GBC will he really like GBA?Or do some of the compliants about the screen make it worse than the CBC?

it is a fun system and he should like it just fine. Also, I don't think your son will complain has much has some us older gamers.

I got one and its pretty nice, but u have to play in a well lit place unless u got a light.

It is a shame that the screen isn't backlit, but the Gameboy Color (nor any Gameboy for that matter) wasn't backlit either, so if your son likes GBC he'll like Advance.

All I know is that I'm getting one. The screen may be a little darker, but I think that you can adjust the contrast. You can always test one out, my friend has one and it looks fine when I was playing Tetris on it
