It's been a while since I've frequented this forum, but you guys have always been pretty helpful in the past. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, but there didn't seem to be a clear winner.
Basically I've recently been involved with a new candle company, and to my surprise it's beginning to take off and become a big hit. I'd like to expand the market and start a website, but I'd also like to take some shortcuts instead of trying to code it from the ground up. I've had minor html coding experience in the past, and have dabbled with dreamweaver numerous times. But my skills reside in design, not coding.
Cut to the chase:
Basically I'm looking for some sort of way to purchase the technical aspects of an e-commerce website, and then fill it in with my own graphical design. I was wondering if those ecommerce templates from places like monstertemplates.com and otherwise are worth the $150+ to get started? And what exactly will that give me?
Do you guys have any advice on the fastest way to completion here, and/or is it worth my time to do it from the ground up?
Any advice is welcome, and i'd be glad to pay for helpful contributions. There is no substitute for experience here.
Thanks in advance.
