Well, that worked to install it, but that didn't help with the resolution. Even after reboot.

Edit: I think I found a fix. Rebooting my laptop now.
 
You probably need to fix /etc/X11/xorg.conf, it holds a list of available resolutions and if the ATI crap didn't update it you'll still only have the list that was put there at installation time.
 
This should help you installing the ati drivers. Then run the sax tool (its in yast under hardware) and see if you can change your resolution.

Which wireless card are you running?
 
SleepWalker: That was actually the fix I used, and it worked. As to the wireless, it's an Intel Wireless Pro something-or-other, and it's working now.
