A few questions about Crossfire

1. Does anyone know where I can find benchmarks of X1800XT's in crossfire?

2. Can you overclock cards when running crossfire? If so, must they be the same clock speeds?

3. Can you enable VSync in Crossfire?

4. Can you use crossfire on an SLI board? If not, what boards do I need?

Thanks 🙂

I know with the x1800 Crossfire that it will run both cards at the speed of the fastest one.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense, as it seems that by default any multi-gpu system would run at the slowest common speed. Where did you get this info from? I'm not saying your wrong, just curious is all.

Probably the inquirer. Othewise I am buying X1800XL and pairing it up with X1800XT and getting 125mhz on the core and 500mhz on the memory overclock for free 🙂

It could not run at the highest speed because the slower card could burn up if it ran at a clock speed that was too high for it.

well from what I read if you oc one card the master card will oc to that speed to match.
I dont think this works with the 1800xl but i know it will work for the xts. You have to remeber that the 1800xt have alot of head room bulit in there. There was a site who got an 1800xt OC 700/800 to work in crossfire with master card at same speed.

I don't doubt that this is possible, I would just surprised if this was the default behavior.
