A Few Questions About Counter Strike?

I have a few computers running counter strike and they all have the same problem...When you escape out of an open game to change a setting and try to go back into the game with resume and just has a picture of the counter strike start screen...actually a little one on top of a big one, any ideas?

Also is it better to use direct3d or opengl?

OpenGL is superior.

I've had the same problem, escape usually got me out of it.

Yeah every time i try to go back in it does the same thing...

That happens to me sometimes. Other times, I will just get a black screen and then I have to reboot. I'm not sure what's causing it, because on my previous installation of Windows XP, I could just CTRL+ALT+DEL out of it. I think to get your entire screen, you just have to escape back to the CS menu and just resume the game (at least it works for me). Hope this helps.

Yeah i cant use the resume button either, and it happens everytime i go out of the game, kinda wierd...
