A few Q's about the A7V..

Will it ever be able to acheive the 133FSB that it's older bro (kt133a) board will be able to do? BY flash upgrade?
Annnnnnnd..

When are the drivers going to be fixed for the promise controller/boot up delay?

Actually, I don't even think that the KT133a will do 133FSB. As I understand it, the only difference between the two is that the KT133a supports ATA100 while the older KT133 does not.

The A7V wont be able to run at 133MHz. It doesn't have anything to do with the BIOS it's the north bridge. It just wont work at 133MHz.

Actually that's not true. The KT133A chipset uses VIA 8363A north bridge which gives support for the 133MHz FSB. Other than that it's identical to the KT133. Check it out here (bottom of the page).

Heh. Cool. Perhaps I should read that article sometime. Thanks for solving the temporary ignorance problem. 😀

Build 33 of the Promise Controller BIOS

Apparently it decreases boot delay but it has decreased performance from build 25.

As far as FSB of 133 goes I didn't think that KT133 boards could stably run a FSB clocked past about 115 except if your really really lucky.

If you can run 133fsb does that mean you can run your CPU at 133?

Please forgive ignorance
