A few of my friends went to Alaska to fish for Salmon/Halibut/Lingcod.

They caught 4 of em on the kayaks.

I hope to go there next year. Pretty good eating according to them.

Heh. My jaw dropped too when I saw the pics. The smallest shark was slightly over 400lbs.

Yeah they did. They tugged the kayaks around for an hour or so before they started getting tired and they guys were able to reel them in.

They are probably wearing thermals and a wetsuit underneath as we normally do here in California when fishing the Pacific.
As far as I understand it, they used a whole salmon as bait.
