A few netflix questions

Considering signing up with Netflix and just have a few questions.

On average, how many movies do you get from them a month? (And what's your turnaround time? i.e. how many days do you hang onto them? Some times, I expect to actually have these things back in the post office the same day, but I'm just a movie addict like that)
How is the 'finger smudge' problem that you often encounter with rental DVDs?
Do they have any stupid control stickers or anything on the disk itself? These things have a NASTY tendency to flip up and adhere to the inside of my DVD player.
Where are they located, so I can estimate my transit time?

It all depends on where you live as for the turn around time. The way they get around this is allow you to have upto 3 movies at once. Once you put it in the mailbox, you go online and click a button saying you've mailed it, then they mail you the next movie in your queue that is available. This gets rid of time taken to get your movie there, processed, then back to you.

I haven't used them in a year or two, but when we did it was great and we didn't have any finger smudge problem.

I get about 8 a month. Send out on day 1, new movie on day 3. In the past year I had 2 dvds that I sent back because they wouldn't play properly. Now and then I wash one with dish soap and that helps. No stickers. They have dcs in several locations so the shipping time is probably pretty similar for everyone.

In about 3 weeks of being with them, I've managed to have 13 of their movies in my possession. Turn around time is anywhere from 3-5 days, depending on weekends and holidays and stuff like that.

no stickers. they have multiple centers around the country, so shipping is good. for me, i've actually had the next movie in my hand the next day, although it's usually the day after next. if you are quick about watching them, you can get ~20 a month or maybe more. i guess if you were always on top of it you could get close to 30, but you'll never be that on top of it. in normal usage i probably get 10 a month or so. that's still a deal AND i didn't have to drive to blockbuster 10 times.

when you get a DVD that won't play, you tell them and they will either send out another copy or your next movie, whichever you prefer. and they do it immediately, they don't wait to get the scratched disc back. that's the best you could hope for. i've found the condition of their movies to be similar (maybe a little better) than the ones you find at a blockbuster.

I usually get my movies 48 hours from when I drop the movie in my mailbox. They have a distro center about 50 miles from me.

If I rush, I can get about 25 different movies per month with the 3 out at a time plan. I don't rush, so maybe 10-15.

I did get 2 movies that would not play. One was cracked, the other liied like it had been scraped on a driveway. I e-mailed them, and they sent out a replacement before I returned the broken ones.

Netflix rocks.

we have a 2.5 year old so we don't go out too much and watch about 12/month.

turn around time is such that if we send them back on on tuesday we usually have them by friday, definitely by saturday. they ship out of mighigan for us.

When I had it, I received about 12-14 per month. I received my movies from the Atlanta distribution center and usually experienced a fast turn around. One way of increasing the the turn around is to drop your movies off at the post office rather than in your post box or in the blue boxes. Having the carriers slowed things down for me, so I just chose to drop my movies off on Sat and Sun.

every couple days. 3 days on average. no finger prints... seems netflix users are generally not that lame. keep your queue stocked up,not hard with so many dvds and tv series dvds out there.. easily rack up hundreds.
