A few Monitor Questions

I'm going to go with dual monitors soon ( preferably 20") and i keep on finding 1600x900 with like 5ms resolution instead of the usual 1680x1050 with 2ms.

How is 1600x900 resolution vs 1680x 1050?

And what monitor would you guys recommend
