A few CD-RW Questions

1) I'm new to this to tell you the truth. I have a cdrw writer with no programs, I was wondering if you are only limited to create data disc (I use XP). I would need some other software for audio right?

2)Will it be possible to copy a program file and burn it, then take it to another computer and run the program without instalation?

3)I need an extra USB cord, what website may I find one? Maybe it's in my local Office Depot. I'll check. Thx.

1. I think you can create audio CDs through Windows Media Player. Check "Copy to CD" on the left panel.

2. Not really. Installation usually adds entries to the registry. There might be some cases were it'll work but majority won't.

3. You can get it anywhere. Try Newegg. Get the cheapest one. They're all the same.

Hope this helps.
