Obviously this is opinion based, but justify your answer please. Here goes:

What is the best car carpet cleaner/stain remover product/solution?

Do you condition your tires by using some tire shiner? If so, what is the best?

What is the best leather conditioner?

This doesn't relate to car cleaning, but in my car (96' Oldsmobile Aurora) the drivers side floormat curls up at the gas/brake pedels is there any way to prevent this or should I buy new floormats? If I do have to buy new floormats, should I just go to my local Oldsmobile dealer? I don't really wanna go to a place like autozone and get generic ones that don't look right. Would they have floormats for the year and model car still?

I'm very picky about my car and how it looks so your imput is appreciated, thanks for your time!

I'll jus answer my best in point form...

1. I don't know the "best" carpet cleaner, but i've used the turtle wax with the built on applicator and it cleaned my carpets great.

2. I use Meguiar's tire shine (SPREAD ON) not spray on, and that stuff also works good.. nice shine, not too shiny, but nice looking. Meguiar's is always good.

3. I don't know, I've never had leather, but try Meguiar's or Mother's is my best suggestion, they are quality brands.

carpet cleaner is Folex (maybe Folix)

Tires is almost anything in gel form (I used Meguiars Endurance)

Leather is Tanner's Preserve or Lexol.

Mats that curl up are cheapo's, buy new mats aftermarket....almost any mat will look right in any car. It may not be custom tailored....however check websites and many make mats diecut to fit exactly.

For the record I drive a 96 model car most think is only slightly used.

Best carpet cleaner - IF you have serious stains, stop by Home Depot and buy this stuff called Folex - it gets' out almost ALL stains. I personally don't really have to use any stain cleaners in my current car because the cloth is black. I used it on the Tan interior of my Maxima and it worked great ;) Scotchguard works wonders also ;)

Leather cleaner - get lexol ;)

As for tire shine, it doesn't really matter. I use turtle wax's because it smells great (although, I don't know why I would ever smell my tires :p )

YOu're best be would be to buy new mats - check ebay before your dealer. I picked up a new set of mats for my 200sx for 19 bucks incl. shipping, and they're ginuine Nissan mats from a Nissan dealer on ebay.

Thanks for the responses, I will try all these brands and it seems as if a lot of you like the same brands which means that they must be good. Thanks fellas.
