Ok, for a stupid paper in spanish, i need to write about a famous real or fictitious woman that has been unjustly characterized as bad. I guess I am just drawing a blank here but who is a woman that has been unjustly critized? I would prefer a well-known person so that I don't have to research and can just write off the top of my head. Does anyone have any ideas?

one book you should look at ... the Scarlette Letter .. in this book Hester the heroine of the story was branded because she had an affair. She was taken advantage of and really mistreated because of a lapse in judgement .. might be a good one ...

Well the Scarlet Letter is more of what I'm looking for. Pamela Anderson had crossed my mind but I figured that I would have to write about her sex tapes and I don't know what my professor would think about that. I don't think jlo is misjudged, I don't think of her as a ho. But thanks for the responses, keep em coming...

And the intention of the assignment is for you to do some research. Both to get the knowledge and the practice!

Monica Lewinsky was unfairly judged as a whore.

She was an innocent young thing charmed by Clinton's irresistable southern good looks.

Almost any woman involved in a sexual harrassment lawsuit (Anita Hill vs. Clarence Thomas or even Robin Givens vs. Mike Tyson). Any situation where it's easy for the guys to say a woman is making it up to get back at them or steal their money.

I think monica is a great response, but im going to use britney. I mean comon, she just wants to look all pretty and dress like other pop stars and she gets criticized for dressing like a ho and making the millions of girls that follow her dress and act like hoes. Easy to write about her too. Thanks for all the help though, anandtech forums rule!

Ok, well I presented my little spanish thing today in class and although mine went over as expected, kinda funny and not everyone taking it seriously, it seems that most people selected the salem witches, or non-witches actually. That now seems like the perfect answer and I should have known that, especially with the time of year that it is. Jeez. Madonna was number two and someone even said Hillary Swank, so I wasn't the most desperate. Others also said that it wasn't easy to come up with a person. Thanks for all the responses.
