OK, i built myself a system about a month ago in mid june and just have a few questions. First of all here is my build:

Core 2 Duo e6600 @ 3.6ghz (9x400) 1.5125v in bios, 1.48v in cpuz
Thermaltake Big Typhoon w/ Panaflo Ultra @ ~2800rpm
XFX 680i LT Motherboard
4x Kingston valueram 5300 1gb @ 667mhz 5-5-5-15-1T unlinked
Seagate Barabuda 320gb 7200.10
EVGA 8800gts 320mb @ 621/1458/1890
Soundblaster Live! 24bit
Asus SATA DVD-RW w/Lightscribe
OCZ GameXstream 600w psu
Vista Ultimate x64 OEM

Ok my questions:
1. i was wondering if i ran my cpu at that high of a voltage on air, would it significantly reduce the lifespan of my cpu/motherboard/ other components? Under dual prime 95, my temps are 64c max, and my cpu idles at 36-37c. While playing games, my cpu is about 45-54c depending on game. Speedstep is disabled.

2. So far my rig is dual prime 95 stable for 24hrs @ 3.6, but i was wondering if it was ok if a cpu is prime95 stable for say...only 12 or 18 hrs or so? Since i could get dual prime stable for 14hrs @1.475v in bios but forgot what cpuz detected as voltage and it ran a few degrees cooler under full load.

3. i remember about the northwood sudden death syndrome thing a while back and i was wondering if anyone had a similar experience but wit a core 2 duo/quad?

Thanks.

65 degrees is kind of warm (but not bad enough for some people to turn it down a notch) but more importantly, if you only hit 45 degrees on real applications and you are sure it doesn't go higher most people would say that is a good temp.

To me though, I'm not sure I would want 1.5125v through my chip.

Personally I think heat is worse for your chip than volts, but others may disagree. So if you subscribe to the same opinion as me then you should probably be ok...

but like I said 1.5125v is still probably higher than I would run my chip...

Ok thanks BadRobot, yah my temps are usually always <55c under real world apps so far, so i guess it wont affect my cpu that much compared to it running at high temps.
