I firmly believe they plant stuff in the lockers on Auction Hunters but I'm not sure one way or the other on Storage Wars. I remember seeing a roundtable with the Storage Wars cast and they commented about how they 'never' find firearms (maybe once or twice in all their years) but Auction Hunters finds them about every show. In addition they pull out all sorts of other wild crap but Storage Wars is much more believable.
I don't think SW is faked, the producers of course like to ramp up the drama between the bidders who dislike each other. In a small way it's like "Deadliest catch" where you just HAVE to find out if those pots are gonna have crabs, in SW you just HAVE to see who's gonna score and who's gonna get burned. Now if your referring to any show on True-TV every one is staged, not even worth watching at all, what's amazing and sad is a show like "Lizard lick towing" is actually watchable to some, ugh...
So it is staged, yet that was okay when he was on the show?

The relationship between the network and Mr Hester already seemed frosty going back to this time last year -- he wasn't invited to the A&E Christmas party, the site reported.

I always figured the show was staged but its nice to know that my suspicions were confirmed.
I am not convinced the show is staged, for one there are many random people at the auctions trying to get a locker, were they in on it too? If not they could have reason to sue right? Even if the producers put stuff in the lockers the auction can still be real and trying to value the stuff is real. Granted i would like to see real world sales prices not estimated values, but some shows would never air or take forever to complete.
Sure. There just happens to be a camera on each person bidding to capture every bid for the show. It's pretty easy to put together a crowd for very few dollars.
I'm genuinely surprised that anyone thinks this show is legit and even more surprised that anyone involved in it thinks it is.
