A dumb Oblivion question

Bateluer

Lifer
Specifically, the Ruined Tale Storybased NPC mod. I assume I need to put the unzipped files somewhere in the Oblivion directory. The ruined tale pack has an ESM file, a ESP file and a folder labeled Sound. Where exactly do I put these files? /Oblivion/Data?

There are instructions for manually installing mods on elderscrolls.com forums. There is also a program called 'Oblivion Mod Manager' which will install them for you and let you disable/enable them with a click.

99.9% of the mods have instructions in their Readme. . . . follow the directions exactly.

and make sure you check "Data Files" [where you first launch Oblivion] to make sure your chosen mod is 'checked'. 😉

This particular mod didn't have directions in its readme, I checked. I wouldn't have asked otherwise. 😉

Too bad people can't just make their mods in convenient self extracting files. (omods, umod, exes, etc)

you found a rare one without a readme . . . . if you linked to it you might have got more more assistance .. . . i had to "figure" a couple out.
