A drink to take the edge off?

Alright heres the thing. In public I'm usually pretty quite and shy, not hide in the corner of the room type of thing, but I would go out of my way to avoid the centre of attention sometimes.

Even with a couple of friends I'm still reserved and timid. Not around the house though, with my mom or sister I can do whatever and be wierd. Same when I get a few drinks into me. And when I'm talking to people online I act a lot differently than I do in public, much more like I do at home. ( which I guess is the real me )

So when you have a drink does the real you come out?

Why do I veil myself in public....

<too much thinking :\>

hah! reading that reminded me of those anti-social commercials, in fact i think one of their tag lines is "always looking for the alcohol in public situations?" i can't remember the others.

half personality, half you have not been exposed to many social environment... i bet your friends are about as shy as you right. once you start hanging around with different type of people you'll start to adapt and open up.
if youve never drank before the first few times will loosen you up... but its in no means a solution. force yourself in new social situation, talk to more people, go to parties..etc

when i'm in public, i'm really quiet and shy and stay in the corner.

online i'm an attention whore. in home, i do pretty much nothing 😛
