Worldcom stock closed at 10 cents today, up from 4 cents yesterday. If I didn't know that the creditors get first shot at the company's assets, I would buy (maybe) 1000 shares, go to my nearest MCI office and demand that they give me a desk, some chairs and maybe a couple of computers.

i find it odd that supposedly worldcom, as well as enron still have billions in assets. anyone know how many bondholders they have?

It looks like they are close to working out a deal with their creditors which is why the stock jumped.

Hopefully they won't go down in flames and screw up the economy anymore than it already is.
