I will try to keep this as simple as possible.

MY sys Specs are:
Athalon X2 4200+
Asus M2N-E bios 0502
Kingston ValueRAM DDR2-533 1GB (2 x 512MB) PC4200 (KVR533D2N4K2/1G) (4-4-4-12-2T)
Enermax NoiseTakerII 420 W
Asus En7600GS
WD 250gig sata HD
LG dvd-rw drive
Sony floppy

My system seems to be a lil schitzo. Whenever i get the system to boot up it will always freeze and the display scatters. Regardless of where the system is, whether I am loading windows, in the bios or just after memory check. The system is unresponsive and hte only way to power it down is by turning it off via the psu.

Even after the psu has been turned on, if I pusht he power switch on the case, the system either doesn't power up or it powers up for a 3-4 seconds and shuts off or the system powers up but their are no beeps or dusplay and hte system has to be shut down via the psu.

Sometimes the system will power up if I push the case power button twice or if I push the spring that holds the northbridge to the mobo chip. Even then the system will just boot with no beeps or display and jsut hangs.

I have tried fooling around with the bios settings but I don't thinkI am setting them correctly.

Here is a before and after picture of the scattering problem. I booted the system w/o a keyboard.

Here is the system before the problem occurs:

And this happens after a while.

Also the asus mobo chip gets really hot and I have RMA'ed the board once. I think they just sent it back to me after upgrading the bios. Still same old thing.

Could it me that theere is something wrong with the other components like the ram?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Bump?

Well i sent in the comp for diagnostics. Lets see what they find. Pissed off that I couldn't diagnose it myself.
