A delicate problem

win10-7

Hay.

So i reversed the windows 10 upgrade and went back to windows 7. Now when i try to login, the keyboard doesn't work(it's unwired usb keyboard+ mouse. the mouse works though. Tried a wired keyboard with usb and ps/2 - it doesn't work). I have set to "users most use ctrl alt del to login" so i can't just click on my username and login. The otherwise helpful tool "onscreen keyboard" doesn't help either since when i select the "delete" button it erases my ctrl and alt choices. I have tried to enter gpedit.msc from Lazesoft file manager, but i can't access it. Here i would like to change the logon behaviour so i can enter windows and see if it is a driver problem. Is there someone here that would know what i can do?

edit: fyi. i copied the drivers folder from an old backed up ssd, and replaced it on my machine. now the keyboard works, some problems with the network drivers though, think i will get it running again.

Note that PS2 devices are not plug-and-play. If you plug a PS2 keyboard in, you need to reboot before it will work. But it should work, no drivers required.

Oddly enough once or twice on a new Windows 10 install recently, after a boot it simply wouldn't recognize my (MS wired) keyboard at all, but the mouse worked (both USB); but a power cycle fixed it.
