I've tried searching reviews on these two different memory kits and haven't found too much. I'm looking at DDR2 800. The Vitesta series runs at 4.4.4.12 2.0v-2.1v and can overclock to ~ 1000 at 5.5.5.12 , 2.1v. The G series operates at 5.5.5.12 1.9v-2.1v but i have no information on how well it overclocks. Anyone familiar with these kits and possibly how well the G series overclocks? Also, is there much of a performance difference between 444 and 555 timings?

While I'm not sure on how well the A-DATA G series overclocks, you won't really see that much performance gain going from 5-5-5 to 4-4-4 if any at all.

I was trying to figure out the same thing last week after deciding to upgrade from my 2 X 1 GB Adata Vitesta kit to a 2 X 2 GB kit.

I decided to go with the Vitesta kit again because the 2 X 1 GB kit I already had easily overclocked as well as the reviews for it claimed, about 1000 as you mentioned. I personally do feel a difference with tighter timings and being the G series is still unknown it really made no sense to go with.

I received my Vitesta 2 X 2 GB kit a couple days ago and so far it is just as good if not better than my old 2 X 1 GB kit of the same thing. I say better because for whatever reason this set actually works with .1 less voltage at the same speed.

I think Adata is in the process of renewing their product lineup. The G series is newer than the Vitesta one and from what I can tell from their website is meant to be a midrange kit. The Vitesta kit is from their last lineup but was the highest kit offered so go with that like I did. You will be impressed I promise.

are they sold out now? I bought mine last Thursday, I noticed it was sold out over the weekend but then when I checked on Tuesday it was back in stock. Must be popular.

Yeah, i guess they don't mess around. They look like good overclockers :)

yeah A-Data is the best Ram for the price you can get IMO. Too bad more places don't sell it in the US yet.
