I saw on tech tv one night a commercial for a company that does the a+ testing and what not.. in their add they said they help you learn all you need and junk and they gaurentee that if you dont pass it you get your money back. I was wondering if anyone knows the name of this company or just any good place to get certifications where they give you your money back if you fail.

word on the street is that if you can't pass A+ you should kill yourself. I don't know about that though... I dont have any certs yet. I'll probably do one of the half-way-across-the-country-cram-sessions for Cisco next summer... <shrug>

okay... dang.. you people have a way of not answering questions!!!!!!!

forget the a+.. I want it to do net + or net security or something good.... THATS NOT THE POINT.. I just want to take a test somewhere where I can be assured that if indeed I do fail, I will get my money back and not loose a bunch of it on a test I fail, that is if indeed I do fail it, which I dont expect to!!! But just incase if I do, I will be safe.... But I have confidence that I will pass it and not fail!!!!!!

Intro tests are pretty cheap on certifications across the board, assuming you teach yourself out of a book. It's when you hit something like CCIE that you start shelling out serious cash (but by then, you don't care very much).

if you fail you will lose your money - you will have to pay to re-take the test unless some "school" says they will pay for it if you fail it if you take their class in which case they'll laugh anyway because you paid them $2K for a $200 test

Seriously, you're worrying for nothing. You're looking for back-up for something that you don't need backup for. A+, I-Net+, etc. are simple exams that you can pass as long as you crack a book. I passed the A+ exam with a $20 A+ Cert for Dummies book. I-Net+ was just the $20 Exam Cram book.

You will never get that type of guarantee with MCSE or any other 'worthwhile' cert because they might actually require work. A+ courses can guarantee you that, because it's stupid easy. Why even bother wasting $1000+ on a worthless A+ cert, when you can study it in a weekend or two yourself, and only blow $300. Really, who the hell would spend that much money, waste weeks going to an official course/school, to get something as worthless as A+?
