Going from a formula that shows a reaction, and coming up with the total Ionic charge or ionization somthin (or somthin of that nature)
Formula for Aluminum Oxide

Thanks guys, teacher said it was in our textbook, but I swear I cant find it ;)

Iron (III) oxide would be Fe2O3, Aluminum oxide would be Al2O3. For that matter, any inorganic oxide with a +3 cation would have the formula X2O3 (where X is the cation).

Fe2O3 -> Iron III Oxide (Ferric Oxide)
Al2O3 -> Alumninum Oxide.

Fe2O3 + HCl --> Fe2Cl3 + H2O

Base + Acid --> Salt + Water.

Balence it.
