I have a cap that's swelling and I want to replace it before it becomes a problem, it's a 6.3v 3300uf cap rated for 105c. I found this on ebay and I was wondering if it's ok... (mine also says KZG on it...)

Also any general tips/recommendations would be great (like a link to a guide...)
Thanks!

That'll do fine. What specifically are you looking for guide wise? I'm assuming you have a soldering iron and solder sucker and solder. Make sure you use leaded solder (IE not RoHS, leaded is 10x easier to solder with).

Yup! That will do the job if you solder it right. Watch out not to damage interconnects during soldering.

1. Caps are directional , black stripe down ONE SIDE

2. Mil-Spec Caps are Hi-Temp capable , cost 50% more

but worth it .

I had a cap on a relatives PC go out. It was not under warranty anymore. We stopped by rat shack (radio shack) and they had what we needed. Soldered it on and was up and working same day it died.

Funny thing his video died a few months later. It had a bad cap on it too!!! First time I saw a video card with a bad cap. We put a new cap on that and it is still running after 4 years. (PC needs replacement though, but all he does is ebay)
