A couple of outstanding issues with new sef-build

A few months ago I built a new system (spec at the bottom of this post). It runs well apart from a couple of small problems that I've been unable to resolve:

1. The operating system frequently loses contact with the headers that supply the front USB ports. I can only get them back by rebooting the PC.

2. Every so often, the mouse pointer starts spinning, and the dreaded "Windows Explorer is no longer responding" message appears. After restarting Explorer, everything continues normally. It's a minor inconvenience, but clearly it shouldn't be happening.

All suggestions gratefully received

Steve

Two things to try:

1) Turn down your overclock. All other tests are invalid unless you're running at stock.

2) Move your case USB cable the other USB header. You very well may have a faulty USB header.
