Intel plans common Itanium, Xeon platform

I like the single socket idea. Think it should drop the price of Itanium systems at all?

The SGI project is really neat. It'll be interesting to see what kind of changes they would have to make to the operating system to utilize all of those processors well.

Well, I thought this was old news. Anyway, I thought the most exiting aspect of this was the thought of the solid very large RAM solutions for Xeon64s.
