The first problem is with Windows Update. I have XP SP2, and when I go through Start - All Programs - Windows Update, IE load and goes to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ . This page comes up blank. I have tried registering, regsvr32, a lot of different things, I tried the Castle Cops Windows Update Fix. I would be satisfied with a workaround now, but it may be related to issue number 2.
That issue would be with .asx files. I connect to MusicNow service through WMP 10, and when I want to stream something, an IE window pops up, but the playlist sticks at 'Loading...'. I figure something about IE is broken and would like to get it fixed. Mainly for the satisfaction of fixing it, but also to help anyone else who is having this problem. I do some backline support, and this is way over the heads of the frontline folks.
