I haven't done much to mine since I got it (1st gen) I finally updated the firmware to 2.2 today and jailbroke it, I installed Winterboard and a couple themes, my first question. Is there an easy way to use photos I have on it for the background? Without a theme selected in Winterboard it's simple, but when I have a theme active and want to use my own pic, I'm having to ftp in and go thru a whole process. Not that it takes that long but it's a hassle, I'd love to be able to do it without having to use my PC. I like to switch it a few times a day when I'm bored.

2nd question, not sure if this is a 2.2 jailbroken issue or what, but my battery indicator in the top right corner will go from fully green to lowest red, if I plug the USB in the battery comes up in the middle showing a full charge. and the top right battery icon shows the charging icon. If I unplug it it seems to go right back to showing almost no battery. I don't think it's actually low as I can leave the screen on for 20 minutes while I mess with it and it won't shut off or give me a low battery warning.

You need to change the background picture on your phone several times a day?

sure why not, I interact with certain asshats on a daily basis who can't help but grab my iPod and start to play with it. I like to set wallpapers I know they'll hate accordingly. it's fun to get a reaction out of them every time. But the work involved with manually changing the wallpaper for a theme is tedious. Summerboard did it with ease, Winterboard doesn't work the same though :(
